sheila anozier presents a six-week workshop where we explore traditional folk and vodou songs from haiti. not only do these songs invigorate and empower, they also serve as an archive of the revolution that created a nation.
come join in the practice of oral tradition. participants will be encouraged to surrender to the organic sounds of the drum and tune into their own spirituality with basic movements from traditional dances associated with the songs.
